We visited our Christmas market
Good Morning.
It is -5C and partly sunny. Thursday we got our first taste of winter. Twenty-one cm of snow! It snowed most of the day and all through the night. I was up early Friday to clear the mess with my trusty snowthrower doing the heavy lifting. In the afternoon the snow plough came by and deposited a nice mountain of snow in the driveway entrance so out came the machine again. Then I went around and cleared the neighbours' entrances as well. My walk in mid afternoon was exhausting due to un-shovelled sidewalks but it was nice to get out and about. At least I didn't have to drive the car anywhere.

Here, it is a dull grey wet day (just a typical December day).
Annemarie, now you made me curious with regard to the Advent Calendar. Between you and me, I am wondering what Uncle Sergeji secretly (behind the back of his beloved Ninotschka) had added. Most probably, stuff “only for adults”.
And then now, a very important part of my life: FOOD!! Well, yesterday, after putting all purchases in their right place, I decided that I was still having enough energy to make a venison stew (I love venison). And today, I started the preparation for a winter casserole dish for tomorrow (with leg of lamb). As I already wrote before, a casserole dish is always made…

In meiner Kindheit sah man im Adventskalender jeden Tag ein neues kleines Bild und freute sich sehr darauf. Heute geht ohne Schokolade ja gar kein Adventskalender mehr. Deshalb freue ich mich über dein virtuelles Exemplar ganz besonders!
